Insurance for 2 year old

Just wondered if anyone could offer any advice please. My 2 year old's insurance is due for renewal, we only have her insured for a small amount (£1k) and she is kept at grass. She is currently insured with SEIB and I'm more than happy to pay the premium but the excess is £500 which seems a lot as I know other people often have an excess of around £120. I have just under 2 weeks before it needs renewing and I am on holiday now so have plenty of time to shop around but just wondered if anyone could recommend other companies. Thanks in advance!

I found pet plan financially great for the cover for Ben when he was a youngster... That's for unridden insurance, but never had to claim so don't know what they are like to deal with, after he was backed I used kbis and can't fault them on price, but again have never had to claim
