Hello everybody, thanks for letting me join.

I have a question regarding insurance for my 13yo daughter, apologies if I have the wrong terminology, etc but I know nothing about horses!

My daughter has been having riding lessons pretty much since she could walk, and recently started helping out (mucking out, tacking up, etc) at the riding stables (just after her 13th birthday when she could get a work permit). The stable owner has just renewed her insurance and the insurers have said that the helpers now have to be over 14, rather than over 13, and that if Megan wants to continue 'working' there, she'll need her own insurance.

I was hoping that someone on here may be able to point me in the right direction, as I have no idea where to start, or really what I am asking for. I have tried NFU but they say they don't cover this.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Rob

Thanks for the quick responses!

I should have been clearer that it is entirely unpaid- the benefit is that she spends time with he horses, which she loves.

I'll take a look at BHS
