Can anyone recommend somewhere to get insurance for taking a pet dog into work? Specifically, not for a working dog. The Dog's Trust aren't taking on companion club members at the moment, which I think used to provid this cover for about £25. Reluctant to pay nearly £200 which is what my mum says she can find at the moment.
Thanks

What do you want to insure the dog for, or rather against?
I assume you have third party on your home contents, at the very least, and does that not cover you? Against what specific threat I’m unsure. If going to work as a pet then surely similar cover to going for a walk/into the pub, etc?

I did look into this with current and previous dog, most standard pet policies won't cover the dog being taken into the workplace.
Neither does most company insurance policies cover dogs at work (unless job specific).

I have taken mine to last 2 office jobs covering about 13 years in total.
Boss 1 said my liability. Dog was a quiet soul anyway.
Last company made it abundantly clear that anything damaged by dog however done was at my own cost. I had to ensure that there was no means of escape from the building (we fronted onto a very busy A road, so I put a puppy pen round my desk and had crate within it for the early days) and definitely no disruption of the working day. If boundaries were to be crossed, then it was instant dismissal for dog.
Completely fair I thought. As it was, all worked well at both firms.

Generally public liability policies don't cover dogs at a workplace, even if it's not there as a working dog.
