Helppppp!!! :)

Im doing my research on how much my lorry is going to cost me (havent bought one yet but shopping now) and I found a nice one for not OTT prices full service history all bills for last x amount of years, perfect :)

Im going to be doing my Cat C licence asap aswell.

Anyone... my friend works at NFU and she got me an insurance quote and it was wayyyyy over what I was estimating, people on here saying £200-£450.

Even she said she was shocked, shes never quoted anyone over £500 before!

Please tell me who you use for insurance, so I can get a quote.

Ive been driving 5 years next month but my NCD is used on my car.

I'm 22 and have a 7.5 tonne box. My insurance is with NFU and is in the region of £140 a year.... however it is in my mum's name.

The policy I have is for anyone over 21 to drive it. This used to be anyone over 25 but we changed this when I took over my own transport and the policy amount actually didn't go up at all.

Not sure if that would be an option for you but hope this helps :)

Weird! So the wagon is in your mums name and your a named driver and neither has NCD... my friened works at NFU and cant even get me a decent quote lol!!!!

*Goes to try figure stuff out*

I got my lorry when i was 20 and my insurance was through Drayton insurance, i think you'd have to phone them. http://draytoninsuranceservices.co.uk/
When i first insured it, it was about £400 for me and any driver over 25 with a clean licence. My lorry was an E reg 7.5t. Now my insurance for the same lorry is about £250 for any driver over 25.
