Please can anyone help me..

I've used all my 'Lameness' money on a bone scan and nerve blocks but have found the problem in his hip after a bone scan!

I'm insured for each problem I can open a new claim.

As I've never claimed hip does that mean I can open a new claim even after using all money on lameness

I have spoken to my insurance who are getting back to me after the girl I spoke ro wasn't sure and was passing it on

Any help would be appreciated

I wouldn't think so, the claim was looking for the cause of lameness, you found it and thus the lameness claim continues... to treat the problem making him/her lame.

Yes.. I’m with the NFU…my mare had a claim open for lameness and they paid for the nerve blocks and bone scan and hip injections. However the lameness was still there so after visit to new vets who said it’s stifle issue a new claim was opened to deal with the stifle.

It will depend on what the specific terms of your insurance are, what exactly you’ve already claimed for and any exclusions you might have.

If you have your vet’s support that it should be a totally separate claim then that would help your case.

Our exclusion says conditions connected to left lameness. However we believed it was his stifle last year and hip is a new thing 🤯
