Right well i've got a now 8 month old foal and have started thinking about insurance etc...
I'm just wondering about everyone elses opinions on insuring a young horse
And also whats your opnion on the best insurers for young horses at the minute
As you have probably guessed this is my first horse and don't reallyknow a lot about insurance!

I would definately insure, for public liability and least. Recommend vets fees, death and theft too. Ones I've used and happy with are Scottish equestrian (underwritten by same as petplan but much cheaper) plus SEIB and NFU. Avoid E&L though!!!

Just got my new 10 month old insured with NFU, My 13 year old has been with them since he was 6 months, they have always been great & most importantly they have always been great with any claims that I have had to make & I have made 1 or 2 big ones!

i would strongly disagree with this, im with e and l and my mare had a accident which cost over 600 in vet bills and e and l paid out stright away!

NFU had various claims for diff amounts diff horses,, paid out no prob were fab,, highly recommend!!!
