Have been looking around to rearrange my insurance now we are up to 4 horses

I noticed that E&L seem to give a cheaper quote than my current insurer (basically same price but includes loss of use...looks like better value for the same cost)

What are they like to deal with? Any experiences?

I've heard similar. No direct experience but very knowledgable YO did not have nice things to say when I asked a similar question!

OK guys - thanks. I think I will stick with SEIB for the moment. They are more expensive, but they have been pretty good on claims so far

NFU seemed to be very disorganised

NFU are fantastic, or have been in any dealings I've had with them.

I would stick with your current insurers though - rather than looking at the cheeper one.

You'd be better off burning or shredding your money than giving it to E&L!

A friend has her horse insured with them and they still owe her £1000s... she's been waiting for something like 9 months for it.

Can really recommend Amtrust Equine. They paid up for my last horse's respiratory surgery quickly (within 2 days of receiving every invoice from the vet, and directly into their bank account rather than sending cheques) and are great to deal with. Not the cheapest but I think you get what you pay for.

Try AIMS as they are part of SEIB but MUCH cheaper- good at paying out too :) i pay £26 a month for a fully comp policy on my hunter :)
