Hi all,
I'm quite confused about horse insurance-have tried to have a look at some but its not clear to me-bleach must be affecting my brain lol. Does insurance cover all injurys and sickness or is it only major expensive things it covers-please help if you can explain it to me-thanks very much x
 
anyone?I know its a boring question :rolleyes: but....please help,its very key into me pursuading other half to buy me a horse :D trying to get all the details. Or even if someone knows a good website to look on?
 
With insurance you get what you pay for. You can have death cover, third party liability (a must in my view) cover for vet bills (you would have an excess of around £125), loss of use, tack (remember tack does not include saddle which would be insured separately or coveredx on house insurance).

Most people have vet cover, third party liability & possibly death cover. Loss of use normally increrases premiums dramatically so not many have that cover.

There are numerous insurance companies that will give you good reliable cover, most advertise in Horse & Hound...NFU, SEIB etc etc. You will see that a certain company namely E&L give very cheap quotes compared with other companies. They have been subject of more adverse & damning posts on this forum than all the other companies put together. So you may wish to take that into account when checking out insurance prermiums.
