OH has just asked me and I’m not sure.
I have had several horse claims the past few years.
When taking out a new horse policy one of the questions recently was “have you made any claims in the past 3/5 years and to provide details”
I ticked yes and wrote what I’d claimed for. It made no difference to my quote and I took out the policy with no further questions (different horse)
He’s just asked if we need to declare that I’ve claimed for horse vet fees when we are asked the same question for car insurance?
I admit I’ve ticked no, thinking I’ve never made any vehicle related claims in the past years.
Do they mean claims in relation to that form of insurance or in general?

Definitely vehicle claims on vehicle insurance and horse claims on horse insurance.

But you are right to check - many people have been caught out for not declaring an at fault collision covered by a fleet motor policy to their personal car insurer. And when it comes to light during a claim, they are left with a big bill.
