Hi
I bred a foal last summer who is alittle accident prone:confused:( so would like to insure him for vets fees/loss of use . have checked out afew companys online but all assume he is a riding horse,he is only 5mths so dont want to be paying for hacking/jumping/horse hire etc. Can anyone recommend an insurance company that covers youngstock? Thankyou :)

Been v v v impressed with Scottish Equestrian who has insured my youngster from 30 days about £20 a month full cover with £4k vets fees- ive had £6k off them this year :S
Theirs he would be classed as "A" use as that covers youngsters but also general riding much easier than the 22 classes ive seen from some insurance companies.

You can only insure them under a year for the cost of the covering and would need to produce covering cert if anything did happen/death claims.

I think all companies have policies for from 30 days as normal, younger by negotiation.
I'm with KBIS and can't recommend them highly enough both on cost and efficiency; give them a ring, they're very helpful
