Insurance recommendations please?

I'm hoping to get some advice over which insurers are easy to deal with and any to avoid in particular. I have absolutely no experiance insuring horses so am a little lost with this one!

I have a 9 yo mare arriving on full loan tomorrow and I want to insure her for vets fees up to a reasonable level (5k ?). I am going to get BHS gold membership which I think will cover me for the 3rd party liability etc I will need so I think it should be ok with just vets fees on an insurance policy?
