i have 2 little ponies at home that belong to my children and i am constantly getting asked if i give children pony rides by other parents at school. I'd love to do this, and maybe even advertise in the school, but have heard that insurance would be very high. has any body done this sort of thing on a small level?
same as i'd like to offer the use of pony at school fetes etc but i'm not sure how you'd have to go about it legally.
sorry for the waffle but something i have been thinking about for a while now.

To be able to offer rides at school fetes etc, you will require a Riding School Licence, which is why it is rarely seen these days. If you are just giving occasional rides and not charging, your insurance shouldn't be too high. Try Carriagehouse, they are good for this sort of thng, or NFU.

thanks for your answers
