Got insurance renewal through... and they dont think the value is right for my trailer. So what do people think it's worth:

1975 (ish) Rice Farmers Hunt box
Takes up to 17.2 tb hunter types (You wouldnt get really broad hunters in it!)
It's very well maintained - all new electrics, flooring, ramp and brakes. I've had it repainted when needed, so it looks very smart.
Got the odd dent in it here and there, due to age.
Rear unload only.

This is a Rice Farmers Hunt - mine is in much better condition though (but has larger van wheels on it):

Any ideas on value much appreciated, as they obviously dont come onto the market very often. I bought it cheap to do up, so I cant really use purchase price as a guide!

I am interested in this too as I just bought a Rice Beaufort OLD OLD trailer, front unload, and the new floor is being finished TODAY YIPPPEEE new brakes / lights etc and serviced so need quotes for mine - who did you go too can I ask please?

Yes... I used to have a monster sized horse, and it was the only box I could find that was a reasonable price (for condition) that would fit him in.

Current little 15.2 is going to be swamped in it!

Yep I think this is a new direction for the insurance companies.

My trailer renewal came through (Stoneways) and they highlighted with yellow fluorescent marker that they now require "a recent purchase receipt or a current valuation from a trailer dealer" as proof of value.

So when I took the trailer to Barnwells on Wed for its annual service, I asked Simon to write me an insurance valuation at the same time.

If your trailer's serviced annually by a dealer, you can ask your dealer to provide you with the same. If you service your trailer yourself, then best thing is to ask your local trailer dealer if they could provide you with a written valuation if you pay them for their time.
