I am buying my first horse, and dont know who to insure her with?
i need 3rd party and public liability insurance and also want something that would cover me.
I know there are some companies who will always find a way out of paying up if you make a claim. Also what sort of cost will i be looking at?

Nfu all the way !!! I ahve full cover for my tb (inc vets fees) and in the first 9 months of the policy they have paid out more than four times what the policy is worth The call centre people are lovely and actually know what they are taking about. I have had no quibbles with anything and they have paid out within days of getting the claim form submitted so as you can see one very happy client - don't think they will insure me again tho after what they have had to pay out!!!

NFU are excellent and very helpful. If you are a Riding Club / Pony Club / BHS member don't forget that membership includes Public Liability and some cover other aspects as well so it may be worth joining or checking what is included.
