Hi, I know this has probably been done a few times, but I have just had my renewal through and its extortionate! I just wondered who you all insure with? Thanks in advance Kate
AmTrust Equine - the best company I have every been with - and I've been with a few!! Great value and pay out very promptly, direct into bank account, often before I have actually received the bill from the vets ( vets obviously send copy to Amtrust!) I have to recommend them considering they have actually agreed to continue to insure my ginger giraffe despite having paid over £13,000 in claims in the last 12 months - 3 seperate, but serious incidents.
Scottish Equestrian for one and Petplan for the other, i'm just going to be going through a claim with Petplan so will be able to report on them shortly, have had a claim with Scottish Equestrian in the past and they have been quick and efficient with no problems.
Hi Kate (it's Laura from work!),
I've had mine through today and it's wait for it £830! I nearly passed out! Think I am going to have to give them a ring and see if I can drop her value right down given that horses are not selling for much at the moment they probably would not pay out what I have her insured for if anything were to happen anyway. Think if I drop her value down to £2000 ish would still have vet fees cover but would hopefully reduce the premium. I'm with Amtrust would shop around a bit but given this years issues I think I'm stuck with them
