Done to death, I know, but would like any ideas you have! What with all the rain, and also rapidly growing grass, my boy can only go out for a relatively short amount of time, as opposed to all day. And for the very short amount of time he's without something to munch on, such as his triple netted haynet or trug of Hifi, he gets bored  so much so, he's pulled all of his rugs off the rails, and nearly torn the rails off in the process?! This is being remedied, but I can't believe how violently he must be doing it!
He has a decahedron ball which he finishes very quickly, but would like to know anything else you've found to be good. Am happy to spend some on a stable toy (or a couple!), just what to choose! We have no beams, being in a barn the ceilings are very high. Have a few tie rings, so could hang stuff off of those.. Anyway, mahoosive ramble here! He's a cheeky chap and will find anything to play with, out in the field he plays around with the ball float valve thing in the refilling water trough  Take some tea for reading, and any ideas are very welcome, and appreciated! I get him out of the stable as much as poss, but turnout is a bit restricted at the moment due to the buckets of rain we've had! :( xx

Apples in a bucket of water for apple bobbing, swede on a string? Some like stable mirrors. If he likes the ball in the water trough how about a football either on the ground or In a bucket?

Will try the apples, and football! Didn't think of giving him a football, that should be fun when he throws it over the door at me  :D I gave him a swede once and he had no idea what to do with it, but will try again I think.. Luckily they're always cheap at the local Tesco! xx

Try Aldi if you have one close, swedes there are really cheap, our connie got through loads of them while on box rest!!

Stable mirror?

Trickle net?

Several small nets rather than 1 larger one tied in different areas of the stable so he moves round a bit more and takes a little longer eating his hay?

Replace some of hay with good quality oat or barley straw so he can have more forage for the same calorie intake and stay occupied for longer?

Replace some hay or some Hifi with blox for slowing down and added interest? http://www.halleysfeeds.co.uk/equinehighfibreblox.html
