Everyone seems to be writing and talking about worming at the moment. Does anyone use the company Intelligent worming? Is it good and how much does it cost? (I have 3 horses)
 
I use Inteligent worming. Have just had my new programe done (just finished the first year with them) Cost me £710.00 in total for 8 horses and 3 foals due (they are put sraight on the programme as soon as they are born)

Sounds expensive but I worked out what wormers/ egg counts we had last year and it was a bit cheaper than if I had bought them direct! Also they are delivered to my door when I need them so I dont have to worry. Hopefully it will get cheaper next year as the chemical wormers are reduced even more

On a really good note - I used to worm all my 6/8 weekly and when my first counts were done some were medium and 3 were high (a real shock

So that works out at about £65 per horse? How many worm counts, and does it include the actual wormer if required?
 
That includes everything. They send you the program that lists all the egg counts and wormers for each horse ( I have a lot of youngstock so they cost more) If they need to change the program based on the count results there is no additional charge.

So Egg count pots + stamped envelope + all wormers arrive at my door about a week before they are due. On a different note, one batch (8 wormers) never arrived with me and they immediatly sent out replacements.

Good Company + reliable.

Give them a ring and talk through your horses with them and they should be able to give you an idea of costs etc.

I use Intelligent Worming and paid £85.76 this year for my pony, including egg counts. It's much cheaper and easier for me than driving miles round the local feed merchants etc. until I find one which actually has the wormer I want in stock. They are extremely efficient and helpful and I'd recommend them to anyone. I pay monthly, which I think cost me 4p. extra for the year.
 
Oh that isn't that bad, 4 egg counts and 2 wormers are the same cost and you have to drive and get them. I think I will contact them and see what they say. Thanks for your help
