Ok - i am new here i have been riding racehorses for the past 3-4 years or so but i have never had a pleasure horse. I have been trying to ride a friends horse recently but being honest - i am not very good. I have the knowledge but it is the application of the cues and aids, and the timing and what i do and when, how a horse should feel when i do a certain thing and so on.

I want to be a good rider, i want the horse to understand me, i wouldnt like it if i was hampering the horse because i am confusing it with my cues and commands.

I can have lessons round here but at the moment it would only be once per week - and to be honest i can have my friends mum help me but i feel uncomfortable when she is watching me in all honesty.

It would be better if i could travel to a place that are well qualified and have intensive training for improving riding for a personal benefit.

If anyone knows of any i would love to hear - thank you.

Enlightened equitation come highly recommended. They have a website, easy to google.

Heather Moffett. Also does clinics around country.

Thank you - i have looked into that - they are in Devon which is a long way from me and i have tried to find an EE in my area - but unfortunately they are too expensive for lessons.
