:DHello,

I'd like some peoples opinions on interdressage please. I only found out it existed this morning but from a quick look at the website (I'm at work and not supposed to be on the internet at all! tee hee:D) I'm quite interested in taking part in it as I'd like to do a bit more dressage but transport is a bit of a problem.

So, does anybody on here take part in it? What do you think of it?

Thanks

i'm thinking about doing it myself as well, looks less stressful than going out to a comp and you can video it as many times as you need to get the required results, once you're happy with the video/test then send it off to the judges. not sure how much you have to pay though (i've got to check that out better!).

Before I had transport I entered a couple of times - good detailed score sheet with tips on how to improve.

I have also used dressage anywhere - I actually prefer that I think as you're riding BD tests whereas with interdressage it's their own tests you ride.

I done alot of interdressage tests last year with my young mare :) Lots of good feedback from them and much easier to upload videos than Dressage Anywhere I found! Also able to ride in any bit and arena doesn't have to be spot on for size x

Thank you all for your feedback.

I've had a (quick) look at dressage anywhere, I think I might have a go at interdressage to begin with and see how we do with that and then progress to dressage anywhere so I can do some BD, I'd like to progress to Novice and possibly Elementary eventually (we did a couple of Prelim last summer) but both my horse and I could do with getting a bit more practise under our belts before this is possible and it is very hard to do so without transport when most of the other people at the yard whom we could have lifts off are interested in SJ! :)

i did "promising youngster" with my 4 year old and got 3rd :D (novembers)! its very good and very well marked!!! i got a lot of feedback and things to work on :)

im doing feb walk trot too :D

cant be bothered rushing into doing this one this month :D lol!!

ooh thats good! well done :)

I've got a week off work soon so I think I might have to drag hubby down to the yard and film me ride! Can you enter more then one test per month?

yep!!

just dont do what i did - unprepared - draged person on yard to video us.... horses tail still in a plat - me in a brigh tpink coat... not attractive :D lol!!

we would have got more if we have been turned out beter - just weat a nice coat/bodywarmer and brush your horse etc if doing a 'showing' class.... in fact any class....

my horse will be better turned out for the dressage lol!! :D

Hollysmum: I'm guessing that they don't penalise you or anything with a different bit then? Have just had a nosey at their rules:
#7 Horses must be ridden in a snaffle bridle (twisted snaffles.roller snaffles or doctor bristols are not allowed)

Catstew: I thin kas long your tidy, it oesn't matter what you wear so it's what we'd generally class as "non-formal" here. :)
#13 Riders must compete tidily dressed. They must wear correct riding footwear and a correctly fitting hat meeting at least the minimum British safety standards. Competitors are advised to wear gloves and jodhpurs.

£10.50 seems to be a standard amount for each test. If you click on the month you want to enter, it gives you the relevant info.

I looked at this last year but never really got going. I think I'll get my finger out and do it this year. I've no transport, this means I can then set up against myself to improve.

Good luck to all who do enter, I'm now going to look at tests and will let you all know how we go. :D

ETDA - Lol. Noodle. It sounds like you had fun that day tough.
