what you would all price your horses at?

Here's brief description on mine

17hh Palomino Saddlebred x reg PBA gelding, rising 7 with a lovely temperament and a workable attitude. Professionally schooled and going nicely. Hacks out in front or behind and pretty much bombproof. No vices. Attempting first dressage soon

£3500

16.2hh thug-like Irish TB, 13 year old bright bay gelding. Completely broken and currently used to keep filly in line so he has his uses
grin.gif
Make lovely big pet as long as you don't want something to cuddle ('is not a people person')
£? you got to be kidding, you couldn't give him away

I really dont have a clue!
Hes a 13.3hh 7 year old black registered fell pony gelding, lightly shown and hopefully going to show more this year. He ADORES jumping, has jumped 3'3 with me and Im no lightweight! Hes good to box, shoe, clip and catch, has no vices at all and is completely bombproof. Did some local showjumping with him last year and did very well, only at small shows though.

If anyone can hazard a guess please feel free!

Hes 16.3hh big safe cob type but with a bit of get up and go so hes not boring (can be quiet fizzy at times!)!! Does local RC, almost always placed. Hacks alone, in company, first or last. Hunted regularly, placed (and won!) ODEs, regularly goes DC, rarely stops (unless mum stuffs him up completely!). Lovely friendly boy. Amazing condfidence giver.
BUT he has ringbone in his off hind, which doesnt affect him at the moment, but could flare up again at any time and will only get worse!
So dont have a clue, but hes not going anywhere and to me hes priceless!!
grin.gif

Oooh blimey I wouldnt have a clue!
blush.gif
We paid £3000 for Ellie as a 5 yr old, were offered £12000 for her as a 7 yr old....now she's nearly 13 I honestly wouldnt know!

15.3hh Selle Francais x Arab mare, qual. BN/Disc 2nd rounds 2002/3/4, Trailblazers 95cm Reserve Champ 2002, £244 notional BSJA, done all PC activities, hunted, XC schooled. Hacks alone/in company, excellent farrier/clip/box/catch. Not a novice ride, very spooky and can be a little hotheaded!
wink.gif
But a lovely girlie!

Wouldnt have a clue how much she'd be worth though!

I would hazard a guess at about £7,000 - £8,000 now? Am prepared to be shot down in flames though, as I know many consider a 13 yr old faaaaaaaaaar too old these days!
crazy.gif
She's worth more than money could buy to me anyway!

Mine would be - 15.3HH handsome chestnut gelding, breeding unknown, rising 12, absolute angel in the saddle and in the stable.
Bombproof , hacks out on his own or in company.Just starting to compete at affiliated dressage. No vices whatsoever.
Loves a cuddle, come to call.
£3100 inl tack(thats what I paid for him)so would be happy to get back what I paid for him!

Appaloosa gelding. 16hh, 6 - 9 years old. Handsome (in my opinion
wink.gif
) Mechanical problem means he is pretty much only suitable for hacking, but he can gallop, jump logs ect whilst hacking. Bucks occasionally. Bit spooky. Lots of fun! Done in-hand showing locally and was well behaved. Has severe scarring pretty much all over.

I don't know!
tongue.gif
Probably not worth any money, but I love him
smile.gif

15.1hh grey Irish Sports Horse gelding. 12 years old. Jumps 3' with ease, bold XC, hacks alone and in company, junior dressage schoolmaster (does counter canter, shoulder in, half pass, flying change). Can be ridden and hacked out by complete beginner. Can be lazy, so is occasionally schooled in spurs. Wind sucks slighty when stressed, haven't seen him do it for a few months. Passed a 5* vetting last march. Loads, clips and stands for the farrier no fuss.

£3000? We paid £2,500 for him, but I think we got a bargain
wink.gif

16.2(ish) pink papered (by Damenstozl) Chestnut westfalien gelding 13 years old. Stunning looking with 3 fabulous paces. Well schooled with positive attitude to work. Won unaffiliated dressge at prelim and novice first time out with current owner with score o of 68 & 70%. Nice quiet jumper. Good in traffic but does not hack out alone. Good to deal with in stable but requires calm quiet handling, very lovable horse.
Now the bad things, suddenly decided not to load, nervous with farrier , think had leg tied up in past. When scared will run backwards. Slight parrott mouth and twisted nose.
Would be interest to see what people thought he might be worth.

I had a TB before him and it completely knocked my confidence and had terrible feet!
I only wanted a hack (and something with cast iron hooves!) when i got him but he has proved so much more! Never imagined doing the things ive done with him, cross poles would make me feel violently sick before him, now were jumping five bar gates out hunting!
Had him 7 years now and he doesnt look like hes going anywhere (fingers crossed!)
Only problem is hes given me so much confidence that id like something to seriously compete, but until i can afford both it wont happen. I need Henry as a secruity blanket!!
grin.gif

I think your palamino looks and sounds fabulous! Even for a part bred arab and a palamino one at that!!!

My older horse, well bred 16.2hh 12yo quality allrounder won at all lower level aff disciplines. If sound 5-6K, as he is, meat money.

My rising 4yo, tough. At the moment, just backed and hacking/lightly schooling probs 3-4K, I'm hoping that will rise after a few months though.

Well my two being ILPH horses - not alot!!
They are hairy, one is a companion as too nervous to be ridden, and the other is a leisure lady who does hacking and occasional schooling when the evenings get lighter.
However a price tag means nothing to me, knowing what they have been through and just giving them security, food and love means the world. God I'm soppy!!!!

14.3hh, stunning, dun, chunky Welsh cob, 11 years old. Bombproof hack in company, needs further schooling but would show/dressage/hunt with confident rider currently happy hacker and pet. Rides and leads. Very loveable, broken to harness by previous owner. Good to catch/shoe/load/lunge/handle/with other animals & in traffic. Currently living out. Passported & microchipped. £2500 including quality tack and rugs.

Lady, I don't think I'd even be able to give her away
laugh.gif
, But I wouldn't want too

I wouldn't have a clue what to price him at:

16hh black gelding 3/4tb x fell, rising 13. Good allrounder, placed all RC activities. Has bold, careful jump and would easily affiliate BE or BSJA. Forward going and lively to hack so not novice ride. Also can be spooky - great in traffic, but not so good with crisp bags.

I think his lack of proper competition record and the fact that he had a back and leg problem last year means that he is worth more to me than I would be able to get for him - plus I love him to bits so wouldn't want to part with him! But I would be interested in any ideas on price.

Polish Warmblood 16 hh 4.5 yrs, Hackes out alone and in company, schooling well, has been out to dressage, very good paces and good attitude to work,

3500 ish Prob way off the mark

Pink Papered Registed Westphalian out of furst Picolo, 6 Broken and just being brought back into work, 16hh fantastic floating paces
any one ?? No idea....

The_Stropster Your palomino - Yummy

Well mine is on loan and he is priced to buy at £1300. 7yro Irish TB hasn't competed, still trying to find out about him. At the moment he seems quiet in all aspect but may be proved wrong.

Fat little 13.1 pony, done quite a bit, 23yro, not novice ride, very cheeky, scared of water, will jump anying apart from water, not worth anything I don't think.

I wouldnt say so to be honest,

This is my boy, and trust me he still has his baby moments but then still young.

Well Bodey, a 15hh, rising 5, MW coloured cob. Does a bit of everything, jumps 3ft (after yesterday). Good enough to put your Gran on but has spark with a more experienced rider. Well schooled, works in a constant outline. One in a million.

You know what if I ever did sell him (which I wouldn’t) I would say he is worth £5500. You may think this is steep but if I can sell a 4 year old HW cob, with much less schooling and outings for £4000, then I think I could sell Bodes for £5500. And

I know I’m biased but I think he would be worth every penny.

Pickle 17.1hh clydesdale x, 16 years old. He will jump anything he is pointed at, jump off's he loves and can turn on a sixpence. He loves hacking allthough can be strong. Has done lots of XC and hunting in the past. He is easy to do in all ways, can be tacked up by a small 9yo easily! complete schoolmaster in the school, good weight carrier.

£3000 (I would hope!)

your thoughts out of interest!

Badger - 9yo 16.3 ISH, £100 ish BSJA, fab hunter, done Intro hoping to do PN this year... I'd want about £8k for him but not sure how his cribbing would effect his price... so I'll just have to keep him!
smile.gif

22yr old black gelding 16hh, given to me with a broken pelvis 7 years ago, since had injury to check ligament, and tendon sheath over left hock, right hock has bursal enlargement. hates his ears touching (must take bridle apart to fit), can cow kick his own shoulder when anyone attempts to clip, pull mane or wash sheath. what ever pace your in, wants to go faster but can't let him due to afore mentioned injuries, does not jump (goes through!). has the nicest personality in the world.
smirk.gif

monetary value £0.00

Value to me - no money in the world would be enough

Hmm..

My Lady Tara- 15.2hh grey TB mare (Sire= epsom derby winner Teenoso), 10 years.
Won nearly 300 notional BSJA, approx 600 actual. Won 2008 dengie 2nd rounds. qualified 2007 amateur 2nd rounds. Currently jumping newcomers easily.
PC evented at intermediate and open. In 2007 intermediate team, clear xcountry.
About to do 1st BE event (PN).
Qualfied dengie dressage finals.
Adores hunting, but likes to be up at the front. Spent a day "on point" with the whip, led the whole field over lots of jumps.
Really good to hack, 100% in ANY traffic, good to clip box (a bit headshy so need to be carefull around her head when boxing her) shoe etc etc. Not marish.
Not a novice ride. Would be ideal 1st horse for confident young rider coming off ponies.

I would say she is currently worth about 7000, maybe a bit more if we do well PN and novice BE this year?

Fleecewood Sable Lady
14.3/15hh bay mare, 5 years old. Tb x WB. (sire= Errimus Top Of The Morning) Well bred for the show ring.
beautiful paces, walk and trot well established, canter needs some work. Has jumped approx 2"9ft at home. Been to 2 shows where she came 3rd in a 2ft class and 6th in a 2"3ft. Will almost deffinately have the scope to BSJA. Jumped fillers etc and hasn't refused a jump with us yet.
Hacked out in company once so far, brilliant traffic, met a motorbike and didnt batter an eyelid.
Xcountry schooled once, flew everything in the 2"3ft course with a few bigger fences (3ftish). Fine ditches, drops etc.
Ridden in a snaffle with no martingale all the time.
Beautiful looking, lovely temp, not marish.
Could do REALLY well WHP (which im hoping to do with her before we sell her).
I would say about 2500 now.

If Im totally off the mark please do let me know!

Mine are all priceless

Well i could be convinced to let the pony go ( only joking, love him really!)

15.1hh, blue and white, just (losing colour fast!!) rising 10 year old T.B x Cob x Percheron. Has done abit of dressage, always in ribbons in the showring, is great fun out hacking and adores jumping. She has a fab temperment, great to shoe, catch (if in doubt scratch her bum she'll soon come round
grin.gif
) load, LOVES clipping, just a fantastic allrounder.

Rising 2 year old friesian x warmblood, piebald filly. Dippy as you like! Fantastic temperment, very laid back, has been lightly shown but will attack the showing world this season!

And Ted bear my 36" 11 year old skewbald shettie, if you look under his massive amount of forelock i'm sure you will spot his devil horns, he's a laugh a minute and is a fantasic field companion, also adores jumping
laugh.gif

As i said they are all priceless!!!!

Not had Norman long....

9yo 17hh chestnut TB, ex racehorse, not done much but has nice paces and can jump! Possible Dressage prospect, or allrounder. Excellent temperament, good in all ways.

I would think I could ask approx £1500, perhaps a little more due to size and temp. with all tack and rugs

But he isn't going ANYWHERE! He's all mine!
