I especially like it where it describes hacking "[riding at a walking pace]."

That has shattered my illusions. There I was thinking all the happy hackers were galloping around stubble fields, having a blast with not a care in the world and now find it's not true.

You cant deny it. Its on the BBC so has to be fact.

I wish my hcks were just a walkXD
It's ridiculous we all know that there are risks involved with horse riding but we accept them! There are also just as many risks involved in all other sports and just walking down the street people could gte killed or injured!! the article is just to condone the use of drugs!!
Rant over cookie and milke if u get tis far!! XD

Hahahaha take my daughter on a hack and walking is far from her thoughts! Gallop more like, she wants to go far too fast for me. When we were out last week, and walking back the last mile or so every time we turned a field corner she kept saying to our RI 'Rose, can we trot?' Rose, can we canter?' just like the record was stuck.

FWIW I think trampolining is just as hazardous, given her various friends injuries.

quote, A lot were occurring in eventing, people were attempting cross country tasks against time and they couldn't do them against time.

I like this bit, it is such wonderful English and so naive....

They also referred to a chest protector at one point - maybe they were thinking about a certain well known celebrity horse rider!
