Rosie and I had a very interesting day out at BS yesterday. Weather was perfect, Rosie was up for it aaannnnd my bit ring snapped over the first fence! Rosie was an angel and just went and stopped in the corner!!

Some kind soul leant us a bit so we could go round again HC. Rosie jumped brilliantly… I got lost because I was clearly still flustered after the bit snapping 🤦‍♀️ but we got some excellent photos

Yikes! I carry a few spares but have to say a spare bit isn’t one of them!! Well done though, they are nice photos.

I’ve had that happen in an indoor arena on an ex-racer who had bolted on the moors the previous weekend 🙈.
He was also good as gold as stopped quickly and I had to borrow someone else’s bit.
This was one of those plastic bits with a peanut in the middle.
Could be a very nasty accident 😬

Looks like even the pros suffer tack failures!! Not sure I would have managed to jump the triple plank at Hickstead without a bridle though

Great photos.

The Bit make doesn't start with a N does it? I had one, expensive, break on me from them when it was quite new. They weren't interested. A while later that design of the bits was withdrawn but they never recalled them. There were plenty of reports on social media that mine was not the only one.

It is a well known company, mine.
