My OH volunteered to bring pony in from field (1/4 mile away down lane). When he caught the pony he was reluctant to leave the field and in my OH's words seemed to have grown a lot and had wide eyes, (he is not horsey). Anyway, he noticed an air balloon and remembered that said pony is really scared of them. He was about to give up and leave him in the field when another livery whacked pony on the bum and said he's only being naughty and horses are'nt scared of air balloons. OH had to almost run alongside of pony all the way home as the ballon was coming the same way and pony thought he was being chased. It took ages for pony to calm down and I spent the time holding him in the yard so he could watch the balloon as when I put him in the stable he really paniced and was happier keeping an eye on it. The balloon took ages to go away as there was very little wind and they kept firing up the gas thingy.
Later in the morning saw 2 house martins fly for the first time from the stable.
That night watched Skylab cross the sky, awesome.
Sorry for long post.
