the judges at E and M are 20 marks different on Caroline Powell's test. hmm, that's quite a bit, cos they're only 1 mark different on Piggy's test. the sooner we have 5 judges, and either take the mean score, or discard highest and lowest, the better, imho. Not criticising the judges, just saying that that is a pretty big variation.
 
3 of the top 4 have some massive differentials - Lucy W has 24 marks between highest and lowest, Andrew Nicholson 27!

Also interesting is the order in which the judges place the various riders...
 
quite a few. and he is being very kind here, at necarne the year before last even the Irish were calling him Hiltler Von Smiley he was so mean!!
 
Remember though, if there are 20 movements, the judges only have to be erring towards and 6 rather than a 7 or a 7 rather than an 8 to make that much of a difference. Its not huge. The more movements in a test, the more scope for big differentials in marking.
