I always wonder if the loose ones who carry on running do it because they enjoy it- some of them looked like they were.

Its horses for courses. My freind had a horse who was 7th in the National, but it ruined his racing career. he just didn't want to know after that.
However some horses love it and perk up for it. And some just can't manage those fences.

What a win for Neptune he really really deserved a big big win. Re: screens they go up regardless of how bad horse is when they are down. Sometimes they just need time and they rally once they get their breath

Hope your right amage. When a horse is winded it can be 5 to 10 minutes before they get up.
If it had an injury and could not be moved they will put the screens up so the horse cant see everything galloping past.
None fell at the big ditch, backs them off a little bit. 5 is smaller and cause more porblems.

Awful. Shame Synchronised could not of just had the summer to celebrate his Gold cup win.
And According to Pete was Harry's first ride in the national. He will be devastated.
