four us braved the weather and went for a hack yesterday, One of them came off when in the process of getting on due to the howling wind - good omen eh

Pidge then met the Alpacas that a friend I know keeps nearby, most entertaining, 2 runs backwards from Pidge, lots of snorting and then he got really close - brave boy

The same horse spooked at a car that went past, went up the hedge and down the road for a couple of strides, had to reassure driver he'd done nothing wrong horse just spooked.
Guy in a 4x4 was videoing us as he drove towards us and then past us??? Perhaps he was admiring all our reflective gear

Note to self - remind me NOT to hack out at the weekend and school instead, much safer and not quite so entertaining

Me and my friend went out for a short hack and got caught in a torrential downpour and high winds.

Horses were a nightmare spooking and snorting at everything and generally making it known that they weren't impressed at being dragged out in the rain.

Stuck it for 20 mins (just long enough to get wet right through to my undercrackers) then beetled back to the yard :-)

I must just be really lucky, I went out in the p'ing rain and howling wind yesterday and my horse was a saint bless her. Was going to turn around when it started raining but I'm glad I kept going as it stopped eventually and I had a nice ride regardless of my wet bum!

I went out and it was fine, my boy doesn't care about wind, cars, swirling leaves and things most horses worry about. New tarmac however...
We rode past his old field mate's new yard and he was in the field that runs along the road, but at the far end about 200m away. Arch just seemd to know he was there and called to him and he came galloping over and they had a groom over the gate. It was so sweet until the new field mate got between them and started squealing. I felt so bad dragging him away, he didn't want to leave.
