hi all, my pony is now 11 welsh sec d very fit endurance pony, had a bad fall May time this year and we both hurt our shoulders - she had a manual therapist come out and then had a sports massage which sorted her out and she felt fantastic, every so often she will have a few off days sometimes slightly lame in trot sometimes looks sound but just feels bit off when ridden trotting - thing that is confusing me is if you work her thru it for say only 30 secs she then seems fine. nothing to be found on her legs heat swelling etc only an old splint which is solid and not painful when you prod it, when the equitherapist comes out she is always tight in her shoulder, she has been on msm since the fall and i have just started her on a joint supplement my gut feeling is that it is arthritis starting in her shoulder - i am going to be getting the vet now as it seems to be happening more frequently - any thoughts from you lot monday seems a long way away at mo!
thanks

hi redcondios thankyou for your reply sorry not relpied back earlier, the vet came last week said she is lame on opposite side to shoulder injury and said fetlock was warm , initially she thought was a bruised foot but reacted to flexion test, didnt react to hoof testers, anyway she has put her on bute for a week just to see if it resolves iteself and is coming back on monday to reassess
