Hi just wondered if anyone had any advice. Things have been going great lately with my lovely horse I got last year . She lives out 24/7 and in dec/jan she got thrush in her front foot. She had a deep sulcus crack that went to her heal bulb. In trot every so often she would leap forward like she was going to canter. Like ever few strides. I got the farrier out and he said she had thrush and to spray with purple spray. So I did that. It was no better so I used to red horse foot pack. I then called the physio who gave her a once over. It became slightly better as the weather and field got better. I have just been taking her for gentle hacks.she had her jab the other day and I got the vet to have a look and he recommended the blue spray. So I started with that. Shes fine in walk and canter its just trot and only every so often. Anyway I feel she still isn't right. Her foot looks a lot better and the crack is healing in her heal bulb. But she is still leaping every so often in trot like she is sore still ?! They moved to the summer field this week so hoping this helps too. It just seems to have gone on so long ! Just to add that she is barefoot and her hooves do seem to wear quicker than they grow ? Sorry for the long post . Xx
