Internal stables....... has anyone used these companies?

I bought partitions to make six boxes from Vale Stables just over two years ago, did get quite a bit of shrinkage as had hardwood but they came back and put more boards in no problem. Not seen them advertising in H&H lately?

One yard I was livery on had brand new cheval liberte stalls and have to say the finish was rough.

If I was doing it all again and had a bit more money to spend I would probably go with Hancox or IAE which both use heavier gauge steel and thicker boards.

We are on a tight budget and tight timescales but I still want a good finish!

Vale are offering softwood pannels which need staining/painting they have been very helpful and their delivery price is good. Pleased to hear you were happy with them.

This may or may not help, I bought second hand Lodden ones £2000 for 3 12x12, hardwood filling, very well made, very heavy, no rough edges but don't expect any help from Lodden, I spoke to two men in the office about spec and they were as much use as a used teabag

I have been e-mailing loddon as they are only a few miles from me, but like for like they are a lot more expensive that some of the other companies.
I have been keeping an eye out on e-bay etc for second hand ones but no luck as yet.
I am on a tight budget as anything I save on stables will go on a new saddle!!

Someone or a couple of people on here were having problems getting cheval liberte to put up the stables they had been paid for, this was last year.

Where are you Emma, if in Scotland I got Saltire to do my mini barn and later on a field shelter, and have been very happy with them.

For internal stabling, I'd go straight to Hendrik Wiegersma (Lucy's father) - http://www.westofenglandstabling.co.uk/

I bought 4 from them 10 years ago (for BIG horses) and the only repair I've had to do is replace one metal bracket in a stable containing a big brute who'd previously put both back legs through a timber stable lined with 3/4" plywood!! (We won't talk about the company who built the stables which he kicked through - they were rubbish!)

the ones I got were steel framed with reclaimed hardwood - tough as they come! And very decent prices!

I have a friend who has internal stables from Wiegersma and they arevery good quality, solid and stand up to many different horses battering them. I don't know anything about cost though
