We are in the process of putting some second hand monarch stables together and are about to put the wood in. We have all different sizes and some with flat edges - does anyone know how the wood goes in? - we have no instructions!! Am I being stupid?

i dont have monach stables but mine are similar - when you picked them up they should of been laid in an order of the way they were taken out (when dismanteld)

Anyway in the metal there is a grove missing i think at the top and you need to slide them in - its a bit like doing wooden flooring where the grooves need to match up x

We have worked out that they slot into the gap then go across, Its just we thought the flat ended ones go on the ends but do they?! The last one will not fit in the gap will it?! so we then thought maybe the two flat edges go together last ones in then the gap in metal filled in! All the wood has been mixed up since we pressure washed it! we have enough wood for 8 stables and they have solid wood sides not grills so there is loads of wood! My sis, mum n I will have a go tonight with a glass of wine (just the one tho)!!

just hoped someone might know save us time and arguments (dad is bound to have his say!). Oh well we all like a challenge!

the flat edged pieces (without tongue or groove) should be put in first of all in a run, and then kept till the end of the panel to fit in last before the metal piece that holds the top of the last couple of wooden pieces, if that makes sense... if they're anything like my internal stables (bradmore) and i think they are.
different sizes (if you mean lengths), because top panel and bottom panel are different heights, if they're like mine. if you mean different widths, then i think it's just a jigsaw puzzle, to make sure you get the right bits in the right spaces!
good luck!
