Internal stables

I am putting in new internal stables and was wondering if anyone has had any good or bad experience with full stable doors with the anti-weave grille top? Unfortunately the design of my stables means I cannot have a separate top and bottom door and therefore cannot decide whether just to fit bottom doors only or the full door with anti-weave top

I've had my internal stables for 5 years now and still not got round to putting doors on at all! I just use the chains - had c.20 different horses here in that time and never had one not stay in with a chain!.

I certainly wouldn't worry about top doors unless you are weaning foals or doing something equivalent that would need them to be shut in completely. Think about how often you shut the top doors on conventional stables?

We have internal stables and do not have top doors......don't need them or miss them at all!
