Does anyone have any experience of international horse transport? How to arrange it and how much it costs? I may be travelling to Sweden and have the opportunity to take my horse with me but it would be very dependant upon cost, any advice/information appreciated:)

John Parker international took my guys to France from Essex and then brought one back. They are fantastic and very reasonable on price

Thanks, never done it before so if I can find someone who can travel him who isn't too pricey I'll hopefully be able to take my horse:)

When I was looking at possibly importing a friesian from holland the prices for transport to mid england was around £500 or so

LOC transported by boy from Spain and have transported a number of friends horses with out problems.

I used John Parker for a France to England trip. They sorted all the paperwork etc i just supplied address details and payment. Great service from them and a nice calm looked after horse despite delays on the crossing.

I was looking for prices to Europe. A friend told me she exported one from Central Scotland to Belgium for £400 and another to central France for £1,000.

The first was a 5yo Highland and the second a yearling Highland.

That may give you some idea. Both by John Parker.
