International Velvet - oh yes, that classic!

Its sometimes on TCM so I always look in tv guides every week to see.
The last time it was on was boxing day at 6.30 am!!

<font color="green">If you watch International Velvet closely you can see Ginny Holgate (as she was at the time) doubling for Tatum O'Neal in certain scenes - the most obvious being the one where Velvet waves the letter telling Sarah she's going to the Olympics, Sarah then gallops off and starts patting Arizona - that's Ginny ...

Oh an BTW a lot of newer DVD players will play DVDs from America, my copy of PharLap came from Australia and it plays in my newest machine</font>
 
yes i agree great film some of scenes filmed at Burghly house near STAMFORD as they used some of staff at KEY THEATRE peterborough for the extras they all really enjoyed it...lovely musical score too..Tatum Oneil loved the part and talks about in her biog...A PAPER LIFE...I have an off air recordingof the film..I would be willing to send to person req copy..but best if that person can copy onto dvd and give to other fans of film too..i too would want it on a dvd so get back to if you can do this..all legal as no money involved..send message asap??
 
International Velvet is one of my all time favourite films.

I cry when the theme tune starts at the beginning of the film. I love it!!

Phar Lap is a great film too.

I love any good horsey films. The newer horse films aren't so good. The old classics show more horsiness.
