I sometimes buy equestrian items on line and have done so for many years with no problems at all. I recently purchased a jacket, jodphurs and show shirt from a company based in the North. The items arrived in plastic bags within an outer plastic sack. Opened the parcel and the items were not of the quality that I had expected, ie jodphurs too see through (material thin?) jacket sleeves too short and crumpled (due to the fabric used?). Anyway to cut a long story short, emailed the company within 24hours as per their terms and conditions stating why I wanted to return 2 of the 3 items. Posted them back straight away, received an email stating that as they had not been reurned in perfect condition!! Crumpled!! They would not issue me with a refund!!

I contacted my credit card company as I thought you are covered against this and they have put this company's payment is dispute, plus I have been in contact with Trading Standards! What a performance (plus the MD of the company got really bummy with me for daring to be crictical against any of her products! Heaven Forbid!) Have any HHO users had any problems with internet suppliers?
 
Its so annoying you arent allowed to mention which company this is so we all can beware. If companies make shoddy items and treat customers badly then they deserve to be named and shamed. Best of luck with the claim!
 
Email back to say what you have done... TS/Cr card/forums, and suggest for a quiet life she might like to accept that her goods were not as advertised...

A lot would try it on to see if you would persist, the negative publicity isn't worth it...
