Does anyone know who uses the Portsmouth-Caen crossing to France, rather than Dover-Calais.

They are based in Kent and so use Dover-Calais.
Last time I used them my stallion who should have come direct from Calais to me (5 hrs) was given an overnight stay in Normandy. They did not inform me of that till 30 mins before he was due to arrive here. They could have given me 4 hours notice.
