So, I’ve posted before about how OH got involved with a local husky rescue. Something drew us both to this boy. We applied, filled in the forms, and had a home check. On holiday a couple of weeks ago, we got the call to say we’d been approved. Roll on two weeks, he’s still available.

Last Sunday, we took our three to meet him. Plan was to bring him home today, bu we couldn’t wait, and circumstances meant we couldn’t do today. So, I took time off work and picked him up Monday.

He’s approx 7yo. Picked up as a stray in Ireland.

Made himself at home!

He looks very smug and happy. Lovely fellow. Can I ask, how do Husky types get on in centrally heated homes. Do they moult a lot because of the warmth? I know nothing about them so interested, when you think of their origins.

Luna has always been fine, she does moult, but not excessively. Toby has a much thicker coat than her, so will see how he goes.

Our house is always cool, cold in winter. Even before the energy hikes, we only had the central heating on low for an hour in the morning, and a couple of hours in the evening just to take the chill off upstairs. Living room does get toasty with the log burner though.

In the summer, Luna likes to sunbathe in the garden ?
