Hello everyone!
Please meet my impulse buy of the lifetime - Benito!
After riding at the school and sharing for the last 14 yrs (on and off really, at a very amateur level
I have finally been able to afford my own horsey and totally fell in love with this 5 yo PRE gelding from pics and videos at andalusitano.com, sooooo
- what would a clever person do -
- probably go to Spain and try him and THINK with their head -
- but I guess I'm not that clever (actually I just couldn't afford it
so
I just bought him and had him shipped over and there I was in June this year absolutely smashed by this loveliness in front of me!!! He's the best horse I have ever ridden and every day I see him I just can't believe how lucky I am!
on his first day in UK, I am bribing him with some old bread:
on his second day, feeling quite cosy or maybe just exhausted from 5 day trip from Spain:
At the moment we are doing dressage at Prelim level; he seems to enjoy it, he tries very hard, bless him
Can't say he's perfect - he has his quirks: hates to be washed (however doesn't mind clipping, thank God), wouldn't blink an eye to the traffic but ducks freak him out, and he is extremely suspicious of puddles and mud! but hey
bullfighters' horse shouldn't be afraid of cows:
dosing in last warm days of the autumn:
So much for the introduction! hope you enjoyed it
