Well I have already introduced her on the Difficult Decision thread but she can have another formal introduction!

Jenny is a 10 year old 13.2 Heinz 57 pony. And she is a total dude. She is from one of the channel islands on sales livery in England. We were her first viewing a few days after she got off the boat but she was so relaxed. Viewed her at Kelsall where she had never been before and she was just fabulous. Jumped in the SJ arena and out XC and did not put a hoof wrong. My daughter has been really struggling with confidence and it was just magical to see her galloping around with an enormous grin on her face. She even jumped a course including 3 fences at a metre - higher than she has jumped in months.
She was completely smitten, totally in love instantly so we bought her then and there and picked her up today.

Pics of course..... Meet Jenny-Wren. (Yes I have twins with grey ponies called Ginny and Jenny. Yes I know that's ridiculous :p:p)

That's great. Your daughter looks really happy. It's fantastic she's feeling more confident already

Congratulations!

i know the pony Jenny!! i live on the Isle of man :)

shes been out and about at all the big events here and never put a hoof wrong!

she was stabled at the same livery yard i was at :)

Hope she brings you guys as much joy as she did her last family :)

best of luck! xxx

How wonderful for you all!

I vividly recall being about your daughter's age, fighting a losing battle against my fears when we found a similar pony - capable, honest and kind. Small enough that we thought I might outgrow him quickly, but I never did, and the confidence he gave me set me up for life. I so hope this little mare gives your daughter the same happy memories for years to come.

Oh how wonderful to know she has a HHO friend!
I discovered when I tagged her old owner on FB that Jenny has a huge fanclub! So many people have contacted me telling me what an awesome pony she is. We feel very lucky to have her.

I really hope so. She has bonded instantly with her - helped by the fact that Jenny nickered to her when she went to fetch her in from the field. She didn't expect to be greeted by her new pony quite this soon! Such a sweet pony.

She is gorgeous... Best of luck with her x x

You sold the original pony didn't you?

Fiona

Well that was the plan! But he had a 5 stage vetting yesterday and vet lunged him on sharp stony ground! And said he was not fully sound on his back feet. He's unshod behind having had his backs taken off 4 weeks ago. He was fully sound for all the other steps of the vetting - trotting up, flexions, back etc. He advised shoeing and re-evaluating and he said that he certainly would not be advising the buyer walk away but could not pass him fully sound on the day. Buyer walked away anyway. So back to square 1..... I wish I had refused that element of the vetting. It was totally unsuitable ground to trot small circles on!

I know Jenny!! You’re daughter is very lucky, she is a pony in a million and used to be at our yard before she went to IOM. Enjoy her and keep us updated :-) x

I have tried to post before but I don't think it worked so be warned two might appear ;-)

I know Jenny, she was on our yard before she went to IOM. She is an amazing pony, you're daughter is very lucky and they will have alot of fun!

Wow another HHOer who knows our sweet pony.
She has settled in really well. At the moment we are trying to teach her that not everything has to happen at 100mph. She's very whizzy! And I don't think she views walk as a gait in its own right. It's just what you do to get to and from the arena!

Awesome pony update.....

Daughter was jumping and came into a double on an awkward stride. Jenny chipped in and made an almighty leap to clear it (which she did). Daughter was unseated and landed behind the saddle on Jenny's bum. Jenny stopped dead in between the 2 elements to allow her to recover her balance and clamber back into the saddle. Considering Jenny was coming in at her usual 100mph and was committed to the combination I can't believe how quickly she slammed on the brakes to help Izzy out. What an amazing pony. Please don't grow Izzy!!!

She is one in a million! There’s not many ponies that can boast a fan club but Jenny has one!

Awesome Jenny update number 2: Izzy had a horrible accident 3 years ago and badly broke her arm. Her pony bolted out of the blue (had been ambling in walk) then slammed on the brakes and bucked/broncced with head between his legs. Total commitment to getting her off his back. (NOT Max!) She has been a nervous rider ever since. She has never been back to 'The Meadow' which is where this happened. She felt sick at the thought and even though she rode Max in plenty of other open spaces she never went there.

And this week she did. She felt safe enough not only to ride on the meadow but to canter across it. What a lovely, lovely pony.
