This is Tilly, a rather impulsive, rash purchase at the weekend. We collected her on Wednesday.

She's out of a TB x Arab mare (14.2) and by Ballybane Shamrock, ISH (16.0 1/2hh)

She is 4 on the 30th April, although I think she looks a little immature. Been backed and turned away. Currently standing at 14.3hh. Previous owner doesn't think she'll grow any more or fill out....what do you think?

She was a cheap project. Might keep her long term, might not. Depends how she "does" when we re-back her. Farrier is booked for a much needed trim.

When we went to look at her, standing with my daughter.

After bringing her home....

Wednesday, an hour after I collected her.

With my mare, Miss P yesterday (P makes herself look a weird shape when she's grooming the other horses. I swear she doesn't look that thin in the flesh)

Oh she looks such a sweetie, I’m sure she is going to be a lot a fun, but I bet you anything there will be another hand on there before she stops growing!

Well I'd be very surprised if you did get another hand!! She looks pretty level, you may possibly get another inch, at the very most 2 inches but I would be very surprised if you got more than that.

She looks like a nice type, and depending on movement and temperament could make you a bit of a return, if the horse market ever picks up again!!!

Good luck with her.

I was just going to reply and say "steady on Jobo". :D

I'd like her, ideally, to make 15hh. I'm probably a bit big for her really, but I do have a 12 year old daughter. You never know, she might make a nice PC horse for her in a year/eighteen months or so.

She was ridiculously cheap...I mean just a few hundred...so there is room for profit, especially as I keep my horses at home. :)
