Introducing my new baby dressage pony

So thought i should introduce my new boy.
Ive had him since Wednesday, he's a 4yo technically P.R.E Gelding he's around 16.2hh & is just lovely to have around.

This is only the 2nd time he's been ridden since Wednesday, it's also the 4th time ive rode since August 2010, So bare with me as im very none riding fit but im ove the moon to be riding again.

He's such a lovely boy though so willing & extremely trainable im so pleased with him

Ive also been given the go ahead to start my big chestnut boy under saddle today, he injured his impar ligamant last year.

i am so so jealous...i love PREs- used to keep my horse on a stud where they bred them- so used to ride them a fair bit. fave pic is the 2nd to last one-the canter pic- he looks so powerful

Welcome to the Spanish club! PREs are fab (as long as you don't feed them sugar beet...). Is he UK bred or have you brought him over from Spain?

Vodkagirly - PRE = pura raza Espanola or pure-bred Spanish, the breed formerly known as Andalusian.

Thanks everyone, i am really pleased with him ive always had a bit to do with Iberians but never owned one till now.
He's such a nice boy super temprement im already smitten & he's not even been here a week.

Im hoping he will do well in the dressage arena some Iberians do & some don't but he's very straight & correct so that will help, he also swings quite nicely through his back, which again is good.
I think he really could be a horse for the future im very excited & also pleased he's a little different to all the WB's on the scene.

Ive been searching quietly since October, i wasnt exactly looking for an Iberian. But i was looking for a youngster to bring on whilst my big WB is off with an injury.

But i just so happened to find this guy well my Mum did & yes fell in love once i rode him.He's very cheeky & very settled in now ive never known a horse settle into a new home so fast he was with his previous owners from weaning so it was a big change for him however he's not been bothered. He's UK bred.
