So,
It is with great pleasure that I introduce to you ma new poneh
He is a 16.1 11 YO ex-racer who I have got on loan for as long as I want from one of my instructors. He has done a fair bit of dressage, competed to Elementary, knows all the lateral moves, tries, tries, tries his heart out and is generally a joy to ride
I have been having lessons on him and going over and riding him for a couple of months now as I had nothing to ride when Orange one was ill and he had no rider. Instructor that owns him just hasn't really had time for him of late as she has 2 others of her own and 7 in for training at one time so poor Mr C wasn't getting the attention he was used to. Therefore it worked really well that I was without something to ride and could go over and ride/have lessons on him
Plan is to get to grips and get to know each other over the next 4-5 weeks and then start doing some unaffiliated dressage with him over the summer, see how we go and then if it's well, affiliate him in Autumn and do some winter leagues
He hasn't done a lot lately so need to get him fitter and more muscled too, but actually in the couple of months that I have been riding him he has started to do just that so fingers crossed it won't take a lot.
I thought I would include a video of me and him about 5 weeks ago. Please no CC as I am aware of our faults, we have improved a lot since this and he has muscled up a lot more too so finds things easier. We were just having a play about in the canter in a lesson.

Thanks for reading, more pics/vids once I start working with him
