i set out wanting at least 15hh preferably a chestnut, preferably a gelding, not a grey/white patches and a TB type, not a cob, where the yard had loads of jumps

instead i got a 14.3hh piebald cob and a yard where im the only one who has any experience in jumping, the only one with a GP saddle (you can guess what the rest have) with 2 sets of falling apart wooden jump wings and rusting cups.

how that happened i dont know!! hope to use those jumps too, and thank god i have made a lovely friend who like me, finds it so difficult not to jump reguarly, so she says we are jumping as often as possible and we will hire out arenas together etc so yayyy :D she is also a big fan of doing crazyy things like (we both love racing) putting about 3 twists in out stirrups and galloping around (first time putting up pictures so i hope it works!!)

she looks a slug in that one, right after that photo was taken i gave her a kick and she went okay!! and trotted like she normally trots, shes no slug, before i came along she bombed off with another rider who tried her out!

thoughts please!!!! :)

That's a great photo of you in the field together - you look like you make a great pair and she has a lovely genuine face :) I like her 'donkey' face in the school but am guessing she's lulling you into a false sense of security and can really shift when she wants to!

Her saddle looks to be throwing you forward a little and is a bit low on her withers, it may just be the picture though (and not trying to be picky!)

I know what you mean about the yard, I have somehow ended up on a classical dressage yard (which is actually a fab yard).
