So, after my last few threads, meet my new boy, Prophet!

He's a 5yo Welsh sec D, full up 14.2hh. A real chunky Welshie! Very well bred with Nebo and Trevallion lines.
I went to get him on Wednesday so has been here a few days. Settled in so well, I think he must still be totally bewildered as he's very well behanved! He was a nightmare to load, I'm not sure if he'd been in a lorry before (and mine is a 3.5t that wobbles with every move!) and he went up and just wanted out again, kicked and kicked until we got going and then he was very good - a 3 hour journey home and hardly heard a peep from him!! Hopefully my driving (I must say it was very good
) has made him feel safer and his loading will improve with practice.
But here he is just after being unloaded and in his temporary field for the first night (which surprisingly he stayed in!)

Brave enough (or itchy enough!) to roll straight away!

I got on him on Thursday for a little ride (he hasn't been ridden properly since the winter) and he was such a poppet... Lazy if anything!
Had just a walk and a trot, one cheeky little buck! Hes just so green but I'm really positive about him, think I've got a superstar in the making!!
And yesterday I taught him to lunge (not 100% sure if he's ever been lunged!) Apart from turning in at me when asking him to halt he was a star!! After correcting him a few times he seemed to get the idea of not turning in. I was just planning on having the roller on him but he was so good I put the pessoa on him too. Expected a few bucks at least but nothing! Just got on with it!! (I usually have it between the legs but realised after I'd got him out in the field that I had nothing on the girth to clip it to and thought it would be unfair to take him back and sort!!)

And here he is meeting his new friends and exploring his new field!!

He also had a bath on Thursday because he was filthy and once again he didn't put a foot wrong! I think this is actually why he had rubbed his mane and tail because it really was awful and he hasn't showed any signs of itching since.
Let me know what you think of him, I think hes very nicely put together and has huge potential in the show ring because he moves lovely too! I'm waiting for him to be silly, surely he can't be this well behaved!
Chocolate for anyone who got this far
