Introducing Myrtle -a 10-week old Jack Russell.

I have had her two weeks now and she's been a little angel. She has started to sleep through the night, which is great for me and her housetraining is coming along nicely with minimal accidents in the house. She's good with the other dogs and likes to snuggle with the old boy. Having a little issue with biting/mouthing, she particularly likes grabbing my hair and hanging on which hurts!

Giving a cheeky wink and tucking into scrambled eggs for lunch.

She is indeed just beautiful. Are those all her toys in that bed? I'm amazed they are still intact and she must be very kind hearted as it appears she has put one to bed under the pad on the floor ?. Actually, I'm amazed the bed is still intact now I think of it...

I would assume she is a Patterdale if I saw her as she is the most common colour for them, black with a dash of white on the chest, whilst JRT are traditionally a white background with tan or black face and body markings, but JRTs seem to be produced in all colours these days.

Whatever, she will keep you busy and entertained for years ?

Thank you for your kind comments.

She is a bit unusual - her mum was a long legged black JRT and her Dad a tan/white - I think there may be a bit of Patterdale in there too. I think she'll be the size of a Parson's JRT.

I have lots of toys around as my MinPin loves them, she emptied half the toy basket and put them in her bed! She leaves the balls at the bottom of the stairs for me to fall over!

The RS I used to work at back in the 1960's had a black and white (mostly white) bitch. They put her to a hunt terrier and she had two classic white and tan pups and two black ones. I know now that hunts often have Patterdales about so guess probably a cross.

That is just too cute❤️❤️. Maybe it's a girl thing! I want one like that next time. At the age of 8 weeks mine ripped my sunbed to bits whilst I was lying on it, fortunately I woke up before he disembowled me, puppy Kongs were shredded within hours and no stuffed toys would have been safe with him then or even now that he's 7?
