So the day finally arrived today, we have been waiting for a while for this chap.

He's 8 weeks old, out of a champion bitch, and a up and coming young dog from Germany. Breeder took the bitch all the way to Germany for some good lovin!
We have called our boy Wilbur (show name Gamebourne Dark n Stormy)

Lots of plans with this chap, mainly long walks, lots of cuddles but also some flyball, agility and defo some showing. Other half fancies having a go at some shooting so he will most probably by a working Gundog too :) Going to be a hectic Christmas with this guy running around tripping me up!

Awww! GSP pup-lucky you!
We currently have three-love GSPs:)
Enjoy little Wilbur & cuddle him for all you're worth-he will be nigh on 30kg before you know it! (Great name too:)

Thans everyone, he is a star. Already weeing and poohing outside as long as we are fast enough to let him out!
YesTiffany, he is a big un for his age. Breeder has said they are on the big side for 8wks. There were only 6 in the litter and they are all a really good size, healthy and gorgeous :D

He is beautiful.
We have 2 GSP's, they have been brilliant dogs to have.

We took our dogs for training with a gundog trainer off Jn19 of the M6. A 'normal' training set up just wouldn't have cut it for them. If you want his details, let me know and I'll dig them out.

Wonderful breed remember they are intelligent mine are fantastic with the grandchildren never leave them when they are in the fields and has a totally different bark for strangers.

^^ this. Our GSPs' 'stranger' bark is awesome! They have all been (unintentionally!) great guard dogs as well as very soft family dogs, without the 'edge' that I have known in some of the more traditional 'guarding' breeds.

Thanks everyone! Yes agree they are very intelligent, after just two days of being with us, he just asked to go out in the garden by jumping up at the back door and scratching! Went out and did a wee and a pooh! So proud! x

Gorgeous. We have two of them! Scout who is 3 and a beast! and little Cole who is 5 months. They are fantastic dogs, very loyal and loving, incredibly intelligent and friends for life. Hope you have a fantastic time with him xx
