This is the horse I've recently started sharing. He is a 13 year old ex racer, he was in racing for 9 years! He's a very loveable boy, I took my mum to the yard with me today and she actually brushed him and seemed to like him!
I'm riding him during the week as his owner is at uni but comes back at weekends to ride. He's quite fresh at the moment, he just seemed to be settling and I went away for a week and he had reverted a bit today but it was windy and raining so can't blame him too much.
He's a bit green to school, he's not very straight and tends to look in the wrong direction all the time! And we've removed canter for the moment, just sticking to walk and trot and building them up and getting him more settled as canter = broncing! But we're working on it.
Anyway, onto the pictures!
He's a rather nice looking boy.
Due to his freshness I lunge him before I ride and today we had a bit of bunny hopping and some charging around like this. [Please don't eat me, I was in a major rush and forgot to put his boots on!]
And a bit more sensible. I hadn't actually asked him to canter, as soon as I let him out on the circle to decided it was what he wanted to do so I let him for a bit.
The only ridden one I have as it started the rain just after I got on and I didn't want my precious camera getting wet!
