Finally after weeks of waiting, I've got the new boy home! He failed 2 strangles blood tests and then was clear on scope so Mike007 kindly went and picked him up on Friday! It still doesn't seem real and he's taking his time to settle in, but hopefully it will all turn out ok in the end!

So....

Looking quite pleased!

I'm sure he wasn't this big when I went to see him!

And that's enough for now!! He doesn't have a name on his passport but the Emma had called him Bits & Pieces. So far I've got Bits, Barney and Loxley as his stable names but can't decide. Oh and he's called sausage and donut when he's being a bit thick!

Suggestions welcome!!

ps hope the pictures work, it's my first time!

Ooh congratulations RP, he has a lovely kind eye, wishing you lots of fun and happiness together, as for the name I too like Bits, but sure it will come to you over the next few days or so :-) x

Lovely, I like very much!

Hmmm... I think he looks nice as a Bits or a Barney as well.

May I ask please, what's his background? (Age, height, breed etc) as I think I may have missed any previous posts about him and he's lovely... and I'm nosey ;)

he's gorgeous - his markings look like someone's dropped a paintbrush on him.

Hows about The Decorator....Dec or Dex for short :D

"Bits" makes me think of those bodily parts not often mentioned in polite conversation ;) Barney is nice though. There's lots of nice suggestions here actually!

This!! :D:D
I like Dex as a previous poster suggested.

I saw his ad on CCT and I've got to say he's a very handsome chap! Good luck with him.

What a stunning boy!!! Really like the look of him.

My vote goes for Loxley - great name for a great horse!

Good luck with him :)

Thanks all, nice that everyone likes him!! He is quite handsome, even though I do say so myself, although he can be stupid beyond!

He's 6 years old and has recently come over from Ireland. There's no details on his breeding on his passport so not much information to give. There is a name of who the passport was issued to so was thinking of trying to get in touch. Has anyone done that with success?

He still won't go in the stable without bribery but he's a bit of a worrier so don't want to be too strong with him as he just goes backwards! He did have to give a friends horse a lead past a bag out hacking today so can be brave when he wants to be!

Congrats on your new horsey :) - He is rather stunning and just my type of skewbald (not much white!).

My boy came from Emma too, apart from a few issues stemming from something that happened after I bought him, he is superb and I think far more than Emma advertised him as :D. Enys didn't like the stable either - I have just put a mirror in and he likes it alot better now.

Keep us posted as to how you get on. Have fun together!

I saw him on clip clop too and thought he's just my type! You must keep us updated with pics. What would you like to do with him?

I dont like the name Bits. As someone else said it makes me think of the nether regions and he is too lovely for that! Dex is cool though or Dexter. That would suit him I think :)

lol - not sure I'd go for the name Bits, agree that it sounds a tad like you are referring to nether regions!! Love the name Loxley though :)

He's gorgeous though and looks like he has a lovely kind eye. How's he settling in?

He is gorgeous, congrats and all the best! I recently got my horse too, and I am so glad and relieved to see he is happy and got accustomed to his new home easily. Have you got any other horses? what was their reaction? Also, have you ridden him?
