Just wanted to do a little introduction before I start picking your brains.

ABOUT ME: I'm 28, have ridden since I was 11 (off and on), work in a hectic profession so horses and my dog are my sanity.

ABOUT MY HORSE: I shared Blondie with the owner last summer after she bought her, that was until she went to a yard near to where the owner now lives. Unfortunately the owner has not had the time to ride her so she came to me on full loan at the beginning of February :D

Blondie is now 15, she was used by the previous owner (teenage girl) for cross country and general riding. She damaged a ligament around 6 months before the owner bought her so last summer it was only very light work anyway and now i am looking at slowly getting her back to fitness. She appears to be a horse that has very little confidence with ground work but takes confidence when she is being ridden. I feel like everything is little baby steps at the moment but every little step makes me grin like someone possessed :D

Don't think I can post photos so you will have to imagine a 16hh palomino.

THE YARD: She is on full livery as I can't guarantee my hours aren't ridiculously long some days. People seem nice, although I haven't made any acquaintances as yet, but I have seen many smiling faces - however this has been when I was dragged along the ice into a muck heap or when Blondie broke the twine and cantered through the stables back to her field. I can definitely say we're making an impression

Hello and welcome to the forum, take your heart off your sleeve and lock it away in a safe, and for gawds sake make sure you are wearing both a hat and matching bandages/saddle cloth/ dead sheep. :D

Im Rachel and i own a nutty 9 year old hanovarian mare called Delicia. Welcome :)

BTW to post pictures type

black_horse i would say that it's 'your loss' for no longer having a palomino but you have such a stunning new horse that no surly comment could be passed :p

Thanks for your welcomes. I've been reading posts on this site for some time but felt that seen as though i now have my own four legged friend to care for and ask questions about I would join. :o

Hi! **waves**

You have a lovely beast!! We had a palomino pony a few years back & swore blind we would get a bay or black for the next one as she was a pig to keep clean - ended up with a lemon (palomino) & white instead :D

I'm Tina btw, just own the 1 cob which is my daughters jumping pony. I don't ride (tried to learn but I was useless!!) so am just the daughters unpaid skivvy really!!

Welcome to HHO xxx
