Iodine

so just trying here!

Is it iodine that can be squirted into the heels to kill infection???

When my horse had some thrush I used Iodine and it cleared it up, its very good on wounds as well, need to dilute it though as it stings and you don't want a horse going mad and landing on your head! We use it in A&E and I've seen grown men cry when you clean a wound with it!!!! Not unusual for this day and age ah

Im not sure about the horse side of it, but be very careful safety wise when you use it, Its an acid, that can be dangerouis.

yes we use it all the time for thrush or pussy foot you can also mix it with sugar on a poltice. also good for mud fever as long as you make sure you rinse the legs thoroughly after because it can sting
