IR Bridles/ Tack

I think the Bridles on ebay are copies, not the real ones made by jeffries. I think the design is good, but would be wary of the quality at that price! I'm saving my pennies to get the Jeffries one, whilst expensive I can trust the quailty, and hopefully it will last better than my cheap bridle I bought last year, that is now broken!

Most massed produced "english" leather bridles on the market apart from jeffries and other quality makes are made in india using exported english leather and indian buckles. For £55 I would be very careful what you buy and to say it is hand stitched is a lie, from looking at the photos it is very obviously sewn on a sewing machine!

Think that is definately a copy - I have one made by Stroud Saddlery - Issy (IR) designed them (then I think sold the design to jeffries) if you get the real deal they are fantastic very well made and very comfortable - they are over £200 new?

here a link to the original

Just look in the quality bridles section

I second this

I have a Stroud Saddlery IR and it is a superb bridle. Top quality leather, intelligent sizing (when I spoke to Issy she explained how most bridles were too small at the browband and too big in the throatlash - hers are neither) and the padding is the softest I've ever had. I wouldn't go for the cheap version tbh!

got an IR bridle for my daughters mare who has a thing about her ears, not happy with normal bridle being put on but ok with IR. Expensive but worth it for us, now if we can only work out a way to take out plaits near ears and forelock everything would be great.

I have a Jeffries IR bridle and it is lovely. I also have an Albion KB which has a shaped headpiece and it is also very nice.

Not sure which I prefer - horse likes both, he is very sensitive about his ears.

The one in the link is a copy - not sure what the quality would be like, and the headpiece doesnt quite look right.
